G4S Justice Services are an organisation focussed on delivering quality. To gain an understanding of satisfaction among employees across their various businesses a requirement and scope was agreed to implement a robust employee survey.
As an employee research specialist, our employee research team implemented our PZB GAP Analysis skills utilising both in-depth interviewing to gain understanding of employee expectations and paper surveys to quantitatively measure expectation, perceptions and analyse GAP’s in service provision.
We conducted a number of interviews with staff across the organisation from healthcare to chaplains and admin to custody officers. These interviews helped to structure the paper questionnaire which was sent to 450 employees.
Outputs from the survey demonstrated where G4S performance was not meeting employee expectation, these areas were the focus of an action plan prioritising and setting timescales for improvement. This process was aided by the employees who were invited to various projects to address areas identified as problematic.
