Maven Research environmental policy
Maven Research is committed to improving its environmental
performance by setting objectives and targets to reduce waste and the
use of resources.
We: -
reduce travel miles by employing the use of
technology to prevent unnecessary journeys |
offset the carbon emissions where air travel is
essential |
encourage staff to use public transport and car
sharing where possible, and provide only limited parking at our
offices |
minimise the use of paper with electronic filing
systems |
have isolated lighting sources and label
switches for all offices areas |
turn off lights, computers and photocopiers at
the end of the day |
have begun consolidating and virtualising
servers, reducing power required and heat produced. |
| |
We are working towards: -
gaining ISO14001 accreditation |
including environmental training as part of our
staff induction programme |
issuing each employee with a recycling bin at
their desk for waste paper |
reducing waste going to landfill by recycling
paper, cardboard and plastics |
replacing light bulbs with energy efficient ones |
replacing all monitors with more energy saving
LCD screens |
replacing all computers and servers with
multi-core processor devices that consume a third of the energy
of single core processors |
| |
